I’ve been working on a “sport” -theme piece bit by bit for ~1-4 hour everyday for about 10 days now. My goal is to finish the colour piece before 16th Jan. The two sketches below are my favourites, but I’m leaning more towards the 2nd sketch when it comes to colouring (??), but I really like the composition of the 1st one so I may go on to finish in the RGB character design style on a later date. This project is interesting as this is the first time for me to do a complete drawing of this size completely digital using a programme relatively new to me. Inking in CLIP Studio Paint was smoother than I’d expect, and the painting process is quite intuitive too. But since I’ve never been good with colours in the first place, the entire colouring process is coming along slowly (but surely!). Base on my experience with the programme so far, I am seriously considering doing the inking and colours for my next zine project digitally as well.
By the way, the character design of the 1st sketch was based on the hosts of one my favourite podcasts, Three-Point-Perspective =P
